What you’ll get
Your tea towel will be printed onto a cotton/linen blend using eco-friendly, water-based inks. These tea towels are certified Australian made, and printed through a Brisbane based, female-owned printing house.
Your natural fibre fabrics should be hand-washed in cold water, or washed on the most gentle cold cycle of your machine with a low spin, dried inside out in the shade, they should not be bleached, wrung, rubbed or tumble dried. Iron on the reverse side. Phosphate free washing detergent is advisable.
Time Frames
For this initial print run, production time is 4-6 weeks.
Shipping is through Australia Post, with a flat rate of AU $11 (domestic) or AU $29 (international). I’m always on the hunt for cheaper shipping alternatives!Â

Meet the Masked Lapwing

It’s Spring, which means it’s Scary Plover Season!Â
Well, technically they’re masked lapwings not plovers, but they’re very closely related, and everyone calls them ‘plovers’ anyway so it’s an accepted name.Â
Masked lapwings are native to Australia and build their nests wherever it damn well pleases them, like fields, school ovals and car parks. Even better, they’re super territorial. If you get too close during nesting season, they scream at you, then swoop you until you run away.Â
They also have spurs on their wings. As a kid growing up in Australia you’re made to believe the spur is venomous. It took me this long to Google it and it turns out that’s not true.Â
Anyway, maybe this is me getting over my fear of plovers/masked lapwings. Maybe this is a peace offering.
