The heart of dreams inside us, begins to mold,
Brought on by flights of fancy within our waiting souls.

It doesn’t cost us to dare to dream, it makes life so much better;
It is built slowly between us, word by word, letter by letter.

Strike a word, add a word, and let our budding dreams take flight.
Let us stack the build blocks to form our coming life.

Would it be that we can be, all we’ve talked between two?
To take the very first step, a home for me and you.

My dear sweet Alise … How are you doing today? I hope all is well with you and life is moving up smoothly.. I can’t help but think about you even when I can’t communicate with you.. What have you done to me, you charmed me lol.. So let’s commit the perfect crime, I’ll steal your heart, and you steal mine okay … I believe that is fair enough lol … I’ve always prayed and hoped that I would have such a beautiful love story for the last time in my life .. I don’t want my love life to be like that of the love story between an elephant and an ant.. They both fell in love and eventually got married, but it was only a matter of time for the ant to realize that their love is not sustainable. The poor ant which was the wife had to walk out of the marriage because she couldn’t handle it anymore.. The elephant consumes a lot of food and it was much harder for her to gather his food lol …

It’s a good thing that you found a role model in your aunty, I believe you can learn a lot from her.. My day was very long and I slept off immediately after I got to my lodge, I just woke in the middle of the night to respond to your email as I’m always looking forward to communicating with you.. Thank you very much for your prompt response. I have to go now. I will be working this morning, but not the full hours..  Hope to read from you soon.. Thinking about you.

Analysis

The poem at the start was posted here on a dating site in 2012. A comment on that post says:

Yea good luck with all this scamming thing to you – Your photo is of entrepeneur Bill Wiedemann and I imagine he makes a whole lot more money than you do and sheesh, he wouldn’t be on a dating site either idiot! Your poem has been lifted from here… [with a broken link]  amateurs!”

Unfortunately Bill Wiedemann does not have the same face as my Paulie. I also found the poem on this Facebook ‘public figure’ page and this ‘local business’ page. I can’t seem to find the entire poem anywhere else.

I tried googling the story of the elephant and the ant (which was the wife). There’s a different story about an elephant and ant, but it’s way less misogynistic. Dang.
